Press Renders Revealed for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic


Along with its upcoming foldable devices, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 series. This presentation is expected to take place during the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected to take place next month. But before the event, we received our first look at the Galaxy Watch.

WinFuture has shared high-res press images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. And there’s one feature that’s supposed to return to this range.

So let’s start with the Galaxy Watch 6. From the leaked images, the first thing you’ll notice is an overall smaller footprint, with thinner edges and pin buckle bracelets. The 40mm and 44mm variants were presented, the first in cream color and the second in sky blue.

The renders clearly indicate that the caseback crystal will be made of sapphire crystal, with GPS support on both the 40mm and 44mm variants of the watch. The 44mm watch will also feature a model that supports LTE. They will also be water resistant up to 50 meters. We can expect sapphire crystal protection for the display. Besides, the usual buttons are placed on the right side of the chassis.

As for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, leaked renders reveal that the smartwatch is available in black and gray. There will be a 43mm variant and a 47mm variant, with the (presumed) working rotating crown that will make a comeback, as well as thinner symmetrical edges. The Classic model is also expected to feature sapphire crystal protection on the front and back, as well as LTE and GPS support. It will be waterproof up to 50 meters. The Watch 6 Classic is expected to feature a stitched strap.

Many expected features

Apart from what we were able to decipher from these latest renders, the Galaxy Watch 6 line will bring a plethora of health and fitness related features, as well as notable battery improvements. Both classic and standard variants will feature Samsung’s Exynos W930 chipset. THE smart watches should also work with WearOS 4.

So far, that’s all we know about Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches. But, with the launch drawing closer, we can expect to get some concrete information about the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup soon.

Samsung has scheduled its Unpacked event in Seoul for the end of Julyduring which exciting details about the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the highly anticipated Galaxy Watch 6 series will be unveiled.
