For its 50th anniversary, the Rolex Explorer II is getting a little update for our greatest pleasure. This historic model has therefore been revised, both in terms of movement and design. Here we find the 42 mm diameter dial. However, readability has been improved with a normal matt background and a much more effective Chromalight. The bracelet has also been modified, without Glidelock and with the addition of the Easyling system which allows a widening of 5 mm. There is also a change in the movement, with a caliber 3285 offering 70 hours of power reserve. This is also the same movement found on the GMT-Master II.
