Huawei Band 9 Review: A Deep Dive into the Huawei Watch Series

Frankly, the HUAWEI Band 9 surprised me.

Basically, I was just looking for a simple connected bracelet to track my steps, my sleep and receive some notifications. I didn’t want to put €200 or €300 into a connected watch that I would only use half. So, I tried the Band 9.

The first thing I noticed was the comfort. It’s so light that I end up forgetting I’m wearing it. Even at night, it doesn’t bother me at all. And yet usually, sleeping with a watch on my wrist… not for me.

The screen is really nice to look at. Bright, crisp, easy to read even outdoors. The autonomy also amazed me. I charge it about once a week, sometimes a little more. It changes devices that have to be plugged in every two days.

Where I use it the most is clearly for sleep and daily activity. I like to take a look at my stats in the morning. It quickly becomes a habit. Maybe even a little too much…

Well, everything is not perfect. Installing the Huawei app on Android took me a few minutes of research. It’s not complicated, but it’s not as smooth as a Samsung or Google watch. And you can’t answer calls directly from the bracelet.

But honestly? For the price, I find it excellent value for money. If a friend asked me which connected bracelet to buy without breaking the bank, the HUAWEI Band 9 would clearly be one of the models I would recommend to them first.
