A look that slams, but not just
Already, you wear it on the wrist, you feel that you have serious gear. AMOLED screen, sapphire glass, buttons that resist everything (even well rotten diving gloves).
Waterproof to 200 meters, so unless you plan to explore the Mariannes pit, you’re wide. Navigation on the watch, frankly, is fluid. Even if you’re not geek, you get it quickly.
Underwater, it’s solid
Where the Garmin Descent MK3 hurts is in the water. DiveView cards are not gadget: you have more than 4,000 preloaded diving spots, with depths, reliefs … it’s limited if you can’t find Nemo with. The compass, the GPS, everything is there not to end up. And if you dive in a group, the MK3I version allows you to follow up to 8 divers. The guys freak out less, you see everyone on your watch. I speak more in detail here.
If you want to see how a connected watch resists seawater, I dug the subject there.

And the LED lamp on the 51 mm version is not a gadget: wreck or at night, it saves the bet.
Autonomy: no need to recharge every night
Autonomy is often the beautiful scam on this kind of watch. There, no. In diving mode, you hold easy 30 to 60 hours depending on the model, and connected watch, you can type within 10 to 37 days. I dug this point in another article, because frankly, it changes your life when you travel.
Out of the water, it also ensures
The thing that amazed me was that the Garmin Descent MK3, it’s not just a diving watch. You do trail, bike, do you want to follow your sleep or pay for your coffee without taking out the CB?
She knows how to do everything, like a fenix boosted with hormones. You can even store your music, follow your training stats, in short, it’s a real Swiss knife. And if you want to get into sea swimming, it’s not a detail: you need a watch that holds the road to salt and waves. You can take a look at what I wrote about it.
So, are we cracking or not?
Frankly, if you dive just on vacation, it may be overkill (and more than 1000 balls, it stings). But if you are addicted to diving, that you want a reliable, complete thing, and which sends heavy also to the surface, the Garmin Descent MK3, it’s a real game to change. The other watches, next to it, smells the warmer a little.
There, you have my opinion. If you want to dig certain points, you can take a look at what I wrote about it.
