A new watch created to celebrate Philippe Stern’s 85th birthday, Thierry Stern (fourth generation of the Stern family, appointed president in 2009) pays tribute to his father by creating a special series of 30 watches with a completely new movement, developed exclusively for this watch and will never be used again. It has the reference 1938 since it is the date on which Philippe Stern was born.
The dial is made of 18 carat gold with the portrait of Philippe Stern in miniature painting, white and gray enamel, on an enamel background Great Fire black. It has type figures Breguet applied 18-karat white gold. The hour, minute and second hands are made of 18K white gold.
The case is made of platinum with a diamond set at 6 o’clock between the lugs. It has a size of 41 mm in diameter and a thickness of 14.2 mm. It has a distance between handles of 21 mm. It has a sapphire crystal with a visible back made of this same material and protected with a lid.
