Hello to you, outdoor or simple curious bit that was lost on my blog. Today, I'm going to talk to you without filter of the Coros Vertix 2S, this watch that makes Garmin and Suunto tremble. I had this on the wrist for three intensive weeks, in the mountains as in town, and I have a lot to tell you.

Let's start with the thing that kills: autonomy. 45 days in normal use, and 90 hours in full GPS. You read well. When I tested this in trek in the Pyrenees, the friends with their Garmin Flippent serious at each bivouac while I, quiet, I had another 80% battery after 5 days. I also made a little comparison with the best GPS watches for mountain biking if you ever interest you.
The screen, let's talk about it. Unlike the previous version which would grace severe under the fleet, Coros finally solved the problem. Sapphire glass is unbreakable (or almost), and the touch screen reacts even with gloves or in the pouring rain. On the other hand, the brightness in full sun is still not that ... Too bad when you are supposed to use this watch in the mountains.
For athletes, the vertix 2S takes everything you need: precise optical cardio (except when you sprint as a deraction), oxygenation measure, barometric altimeter and a cartography that improves but remains below what Garmin offers. Navigation is rather intuitive with the rotary button, even if I struggled the first days.
Recup data is now much more relevant. The thing that taped me? The precision of the sleep tracking which tells you squarely when you have too picked the day before. I tested this after a slightly watered evening, and the watch gave me catastrophic stats. Beautiful scam for your conscience!
Coros has long been lagging behind on the application side, but there it is starting to look like something. The interface is clean, the data that is easy to interpret. On the other hand, the community aspect is still as poor compared to Strava. If you are the type to want to show off with your perfs, you risk being disappointed. Besides, if you wonder how these watches compare to those of Garmin who now offer the ECG, I made an article on it.
At β¬ 699, the vertix 2S coros is clearly positioned in high -end watches. It hurts the portfolio, but when we see the monstrous autonomy and the robustness of the bestiah, it justifies a good part of the price.
For ultra -trainers or backpackers who leave for several days without recharge, this is probably the best option on the current market. For others, it is discussed, especially if you don't need all these functions.
In any case, Coros continues to put pressure on the giants of the sector, and it does not smell good for them if the brand continues on this momentum!
