Chopard unveiled the L.U.C. 1860 during Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023. This updated model embodies the manufacture's DNA with its timeless design and modern style and innovations. The Lucent SteelTM case is made from recycled steel, except for pieces crafted in ethical gold. The 36.5 mm diameter case enhances the watch's elegant appearance and is paired with a hand guillochΓ©-engraved dial in a salmon-pink hue obtained by galvanic treatment. A small seconds indicator sits at the bottom of the composition, with hour and minute hands over an index-fringed hour chapter. The gray calfskin strap ensures comfort and exquisiteness.
The L.U.C 1860 is powered by the self-winding L.U.C 96.40-L caliber movement with 176 components, featuring a 22-karat gold bidirectional micro-rotor visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. With twin barrels, it delivers a power reserve of 65 hours and meets Poinçon du Genève (Geneva Seal) criteria for finishes and craftsmanship quality. The watch is also chronometer-certified by the COSC.
