You see when you sleep really well, when you do anything, and how your body copes with busy days. It's not just numbers to look pretty, it helps you adjust your pace.
For sport, you have the Integrated GPS for running, walking, cycling, slightly longer outings. Basically, you train smarter, not just longer.

Honestly, once you get used to it, going back stings a little.
L'autonomy is also progressing compared to generations before, with a longer lasting battery and one recharges 25% faster. You recharge it less often and, when you have to put it on the charger, you recover more quickly. For a connected watch with a bright screen and all these functions, it's far from ridiculous.
In short, if you were looking for an Android watch that is neither a simple gadget nor something overpriced, the Pixel Watch 4 at this price ticks almost all the boxes: neat design, pleasant screen, useful AI, health/sport well covered. It always depends on your budget, obviously, but then the quality/price ratio becomes really interesting.
