Mb & F, famous for its radical watchmaking machines, again shakes up the codes. With the Spinfirstborn in the new collection Special Projectsthe Swiss house offers a watch that combines discretion and mechanical daring in a new 38 mm format. A creation that is both refined and resolutely nonconformist.
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, MB & F returns to the sources of its creativity, by exploring an old project that has remained in its drawers since 2018. The result? A watch that does not seek to shine by its exuberance, but by the finesse of its details and the complexity hidden behind an apparent simplicity.
The SP One responds to an unusual question for the brand: "What if Mb & F created an elegant and classic watch?" An assumed paradox, beautifully embodied in a room with a perfect balance between sophistication and technical daring.
The original concept, baptized "Three circles"is based on a mechanical levitation trinity: the barrelTHE pendulum and the tilted dial. Thanks to front and rear sapphire glasses, these elements seem to float in the center of a miniature amphitheater. The result is hypnotic: gravity seems abolished on the wrist.
This three -dimensional construction is not aesthetic. It makes intelligible the mechanics of a watch to the uninitiated, while celebrating artisanal work via exceptional hand finishes: polished return angles, satin surfaces, microbble, hand engravings ...
The case, with a diameter of 38 mm for a thickness of 12 mm, evokes a perfectly polished pebble. Without glasses, with suspended horns, he marries the wrist as an object from elsewhere. An UFO with a silky touch, whose elegance contrasts with the usual MB & F standards.
The two versions are delivered with a veal leather bracelet and a matching gold loop. The set offers a highly desirable piece for collectors looking for controlled originality.
As Maximilian Büsser, founder of MB & F underlines, "success can be toxic". With SP One, the brand claims the right to the unpredictable, by revisiting its DNA in a new form. It is not a classic watch, it is a classic MB & F in its own way.

The SP One is offered at 62,000 euros in pink gold and 67,500 euros in platinum, excluding taxes.
MB & F did not specify the number of parts produced, but like all its creations, the SP One will probably be available in very limited quantities.
