Since its launch in 2015, the Legacy Machine Perpetual of MB&F has established itself as a benchmark in complex and innovative watchmaking. With the Legacy Machine Perpetual EVOthe Swiss house revisits its emblematic model by pushing the limits of robustness and design, while preserving the soul of its flagship complication: the perpetual calendar.
The housing of the LM Perpetual EVO marks a break with classic models. Designed without a bezel, the sapphire crystal is directly welded to the caseband, offering maximum aperture and exceptional readability. Available in zirconiumin titanium or in rose goldthis 44 mm case is distinguished by a water resistance extended to 80 meters, reinforced by a screw-down crown.
To protect the movement from shocks, MB&F has integrated an exclusive system called FlexRing. This one-piece steel shock absorber is positioned between the case and the movement, ensuring optimal protection on the vertical and lateral axes. This innovation transforms the LM Perpetual EVO into one of the most robust watches ever produced by MB&F, while maintaining its aesthetic refinement.
At the heart of the LM Perpetual EVO is a innovative perpetual calendardeveloped by master watchmaker Stephen McDonnell. Unlike traditional mechanisms, this system uses a mechanical processor based on superimposed disks. The latter takes the 28 days of each month as a reference and automatically adds the necessary days, thus eliminating date errors.
This processor also incorporates a safety system that disconnects the quick-set pushers during the date change, preventing any accidental damage to the movement. A technical feat that guarantees intuitive and risk-free use.
Under the sapphire crystal dome, the dial of the LM Perpetual EVO offers a captivating setting. The calendar indications β day, date, month and leap year β are organized around a 14 mm diameter flying balance wheel, MB&F's emblematic signature. The numbers and hands, treated with Super-LumiNovaensure perfect reading even in the dark.
Each edition is distinguished by dials with sophisticated finishes, such as the Ice Blue CVD or the ocean bluewhich enhance the depth and details of the mechanism.
Although equipped with a traditional complication, the LM Perpetual EVO has been designed to adapt to daily use. The rubber strap, perfectly integrated into the case, guarantees exceptional comfort. The rectangular pushers, redesigned for easy handling, reinforce the ergonomics of this exceptional watch.
With a power reserve of 72 hours and a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, the LM Perpetual EVO combines performance and reliability, meeting the demands of fine watchmaking enthusiasts and modern adventurers.
MB&F offers the LM Perpetual EVO in limited editions, each representing a unique work of mechanical art. The rose gold edition, for example, is limited to only 18 pieces, reinforcing the exclusive nature of this piece. With each launch, MB&F reaffirms its commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and watchmaking creativity.
