Dedicated app G-Shock Move : Strava, Apple Health and Google Fit synchronization, essential settings, logical widgets (MODE to scroll, DISP to change the view). Basic training plans, interval programming by timers (simple, effective… but limited).
No advanced export of sessions from the app, and detailed history especially on the smartphone side. For serious monitoring: rename each activity, note conditions and D+ just after the exit (stupid method but it works).
App tested and synchronized on 10/13/2025 after the release of Pic Carlit; Strava/Apple Health check OK.
On-board sensors: optical cardio on the wrist, GNSS (GPS/GLONASS/QZSS), altimeter-barometer, compass, thermometer, accelerometer. On the Carlit (loop 15 km / +952 m), the recorded track showed 15.4 km at the stop sign, i.e. ~2.7% difference compared to the official distance on the sign. The D+ stood at +930 m on the watch, compared to +952 m announced and ~+960 m on my smartphone log. Nothing absurd. Typical of a rocky terrain, numerous bends and micro-gusts of wind. OK to follow a training plan without obsessing.
Cardio side, average 148 bpm vs 150 bpm on reference belt, peaks a little smoothed out when the sleeve was damp. Nothing new: the optics remain dependent on skin contact. Zone alerts (vibration) are useful when climbing; we put in the effort without scrutinizing the screen. The calculated VO2max remains indicative, but consistent with my usual values (38–42). Classic, but reliable.
We personalize the screens, we choose our fields, we launch. No obscure submenus, no sanctimonious assistants. And frankly, enough is enough. The watch lets you run. I prefer that to nit-picking recommendations. So, we focus on the gesture, not on the technology.
Two circuits: solar assisted for daily life (time, steps, notifications), USB for sustained training. Casio announces a big day of effort without cable: confirmed on 10/13/2025 with 4:52 hours of recording (normal GPS + HR) for a battery drop of around 27% from 100%. Full recharge observed at ~2:35 a.m. on computer USB-A port. In short: we leave confident, we return confident. And we are not desperately looking for a catch at the shelter.
