Reveal: Google Pixel Watch 2 showcases two captivating color options and faster charging speed

Despite the fact that it won't officially launch until October 4, Google has already shown off the Pixel Watch 2 in a teaser video, but there's still a lot we don't know for sure. Where things get a little more colorful is with the bands, since the Pixel Watch 2 will apparently come with an Active bracelet in the box, which will be Sage Green if you choose a gold case, Volcanic Black if you choose a black case, and a choice of white or "Bay" if you opt for a silver case, with "Bay" probably being either a pale green, or a brown color.

These band colors β€” if accurate β€” are also analogous to those of the original Pixel Watch, with the exception of Bay, which is new for the Pixel Watch 2, and replaces the Charcoal band with which you could get the Original Pixel Watch.

A possible increase in speed

That's it for the colors, but the site also has news on charging speeds, saying there will be something called the "Pixel Watch 2 USB-C Fast Charging Cable." They don't have any additional information on this, but the original Pixel Watch only charges at 5W, so the mention of the word "fast" rather suggests that the Pixel Watch 2 could support higher charging speeds.

Despite the slow speeds, I didn't really find the original model to take as long to load in my test of the Pixel Watch. But an upgrade would still be appreciated, especially if it hopes to rank among the best smartwatches.
