Orient Star Commits to Mechanical Skeleton Watches

The new skeleton models from Orient Star make full use of the inorganic texture of the metal, and the precision-cast openworked dial is the first thing that catches the eye. The intricate layout of the two-layered dial has been expertly calculated so that the boundary between the movement and the watch is transparent without discontinuity. The upper plate with the indexes is of a different color and finish from the lower plate which protects the upper plate from shocks and deformations. The seconds hands are arranged to stand out from the top plate, giving a sense of depth and dimension to the distinct skeletal structure.

SAR-coated sapphire crystal reduces light reflection by 99% and ensures that every facet of the design is clearly visible. The skeleton design is complemented by the automatic movement caliber F8F64. The F8F64 caliber is adorned with Geneva stripes on the surface and has a partially hollowed plate which reveals a silicon escape wheel close to the small seconds at 6 o'clock. This wheel was created using high-precision manufacturing technology that has been patented in Japan and internationally.

Furthermore, with the introduction of the silicon escape wheel, the F8F64 caliber hasa power reserve of 60 hours - a first for an automatic movement from Orient Star - and offers high precision from +15 seconds to -5 seconds per second for significantly improved practical performance.

The high quality stainless steel (SUS316L) case and bezel with hex screws has a delicate brushed finish that creates a strong impression of elegance with the dial and movement, while the mirror finish achieved through Sallaz polishing adds accent. at the watch.
