Huawei at least continues to distribute its smartwatches with some success in Europe as well. The Huawei Watch GT4 will be presented on September 14 in Barcelona as part of a specific launch event. It will be available in two sizes, with a diameter of 41 or 46 millimeters. The price range extends from 249 to 399 euros, with mainly differences between materials.

The most expensive version of the Watch GT 4 is the stainless steel version with the matching stainless steel bracelet, although there will also be various other editions with a simpler metal case and textile and plastic straps. The smaller version of the new smartwatch from Huawei should clearly be aimed primarily at a female or fashion-oriented clientele, while the large edition has more of a technical look.

What is most striking is the somewhat unusual case design of the 46 millimeter version of the Huawei Watch GT 4. According to initial information on the news smartwatchesthe manufacturer boasts an expanded range of fitness tracking features and approximately two weeks of battery life. This is made possible by the fact that underneath the OLED displays used here lies an extremely energy-saving technique based on an ARM Cortex-M processor on which RTOS is used.

The Huawei Watch GT4 series therefore clearly looks more like a fitness tracker than a smartwatch classic, except the screen. The Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch & Co generally house significantly more powerful platforms. The news smartwatches from Huawei will be commercially available in Europe from the beginning of October.
