Forget nostalgia. If you still have a 245 on your wrist, it's prehistoric. The question with this Garmin Forerunner 570is to know if the technological leap justifies dropping half a minimum wage for a shiny screen. We sanded it over 200 terminals, between splits under the fleet and long outings on Sunday.
This is what she really has in her stomach. (Spoiler: it’s brutal).
Dominate every mile: the Garmin Forerunner 570 AMOLED turns your sweat into pure winning instinct.

Frankly, the AMOLED screen is nice on the terrace to read your notifications, but in the middle of nowhere at 2 p.m., that's where you expect it. Good surprise: the readability is indecent (thanks to the 1000 nits). The watch is incredibly lightwe end up forgetting that we are carrying a 500 ball measuring tool.
Garmin has finally understood that we are not all track aesthetes. The aluminum bezel absorbs shocks better than the all-plastic of previous versions. It's light (45g), comfortable, and it doesn't move a bit when you accelerate. In short, in terms of comfort, it's flawless.
This is the big news for 2025/2026 in this range. You can take a call or dictate an SMS while you're out. Between us, talking to your watch while running at 12 km/h is the best way to appear crazy. But for security or voice assistance, it's there. We take it, even if it increases the bill.
“Multiband” GPS GNSS has become the standard, but here, the catch is lightning. Less than 5 seconds to get the signal, even between two Haussmann buildings. The data is clear, detailed, and synchronized with Garmin Connect is done in a flash. It's fluid, intuitive, nothing to say.

We are promised 15 days in connected watch mode. In real life, with 4 GPS outings per week and the "Always-on" screen, we keep 9 to 10 days. It's solid, especially compared to an Apple Watch which gives up the ghost after 24 hours. The software optimization of 2026 is finally working miracles on AMOLED management.
The "Morning Report" is still there, but Garmin adds personalized advice based on your actual load. It helps you progress without burning your wings.
The black point: Still no real vector cartography. We have “breadcrumb” route tracking. For this price, it's frustrating when you know that the competition is starting to give up on this. That's a bad idea on Garmin's part to protect its 970 range.
So, should we buy? If you want to upgrade an old watch or are looking for the best value for money todaygo for it without hesitation. It's a real companion for improving your performance without having to worry about a complex interface.
In short: an excellent investment for those who want clean data and rigorous monitoring. I recommend!
