Frankly, the Amazfit Balance surprised me.
I was expecting a decent connected watch, nothing more. A nice thing on paper, but with two or three limitations that are clearly visible on a daily basis. In the end, it still gives a big impression of seriousness. The screen is bright, fluid, pleasant to read outside, and the watch remains light on the wrist despite its large dial. Even at night, it happens. Well, on a small wrist, it can seem a little imposing, clearly.
What struck me the most was the autonomy. You don’t have to run after the charger every other day, and that changes everything. On the other hand, if we activate all health monitoring, GPS, stress, sleep and notifications, it goes down faster. Normal, but you have to know it.
For sport, it more than does the job: walking, running, cardio, sleeping, GPS… it’s complete. Not perfect, eh. Some measurements sometimes seem approximate, especially sleep or calories. But for daily monitoring, it is more than sufficient.
The real downside, for me, is more the software part: Zepp is complete, but sometimes messy. And Bluetooth can be annoying.
In short, very good watch. Not flawless, but damn well placed for the price.
