After a few days of updating the server we are back with the new one Carrera Chronograph presented this week by the house Tag Heuer. A watch that marks a splendid end to the 60th anniversary saga of the Carrera collection and that maintains the timeless essence with its classic style case, integrated lugs and easy-to-use chronograph pushers.
This new watch pays tribute to the gold watches that Jack Heuer gave to racing drivers. An ingenious gesture that forged an unbreakable bond between TAG Heuer and the world of motorsport. These watches surpassed their reward function and became loyal companions in the tireless pursuit of victory. They adorned the wrists of drivers such as Ronnie Peterson and Niki Lauda. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 39 mm pays tribute to this era.
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph
A new watch created for the 60th anniversary of the Carrera collection and based on the gold model that Jack Heuer gave to racing drivers. A watch that is not a reissue of that model but that has some inspirations, especially in its dial.
The dial is made of 18K 3N yellow gold plated aluminum with vertical brushing and a bezel also plated with the same material with a 60 seconds/minute scale. It has 3 counters, at 3 o’clock the black “azuré” chronograph minute counter with 18-karat 3N yellow gold-plated hand, at 6 o’clock the seconds hand with black lacquered hand and at 9 o’clock the hour counter with gold-plated hand. 18K 3N yellow gold. The hour and minute hands are polished, faceted and plated in 18K 3N yellow gold with white Super-LumiNova.
The case is finely brushed and polished 18K 3N solid yellow gold with a size of 39mm in diameter and a thickness of 13.9mm thick. The crystal is domed sapphire with double anti-reflective treatment. The back is visible and has water resistance up to 10 bar, 100 meters.
Inside, the caliber used is TH20-00. Self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 80 hours.
The strap is perforated black calfskin with a finely polished and brushed 18K 3N yellow gold buckle with TAG Heuer crest.
