Frédérique Constant Christiaan Van der Klaauw Tourbillon Planétarium

The Tourbillon Planetarium of Frédérique Constant Christiaan Van der Klaauw

The Frederique Constant and Christian Van der Klaauw brands have presented their new Tourbillon Planetarium. A watch created for the Only Watch 2023. For this occasion, Frederique Constant’s tourbillon and Christiaan van der Klaauw’s planetarium, the smallest in the world and the first built for a wristwatch, are combined in the same piece. The Only Watch auction has taken place every two years since 2003, under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, and donates the funds raised to benefit the Only Foundation, which Frederique Constant has supported since 2005.

«The auction is preceded by a traveling exhibition that brings together all the pieces. Starting in the United States at the beginning of September, it will end in Geneva on November 5, 2023. This exhibition will allow collectors, lovers, fans and representatives of the media to discover all the creations of Only Watch 2023. Asia, Europe and the Middle East will host the different stages. On November 5, 2023, watchmakers, partners and donors will be invited to the PALEXPO Congress Center in Geneva for the auction organized with the support of Christie’s, starting at 14:00 CET (in the hall, online , by phone and with purchase order). The funds raised will be donated to the benefit of the Only Foundation, perpetuating the humanist and altruistic spirit that has governed its destiny since 2005»

Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant Christiaan y Van der Klaauw Tourbillon Planetarium

A watch where details from the two creative houses, Frédérique Constant Christiaan and Van der Klaauw, are combined and appreciated. On the one hand, the Frederique Constant tourbillon and on the other, the planetary and the blue glitter tone of Christiaan van der Klaauw. The result of this alliance is an attractive watch that is easily recognizable.

The dial combines these two complications, brought together here for the first time, complemented by two counters placed on either side for perfect visual harmony: the day-month binomial at 9 o’clock and the respective emblems of Frederique Constant and Christiaan van der Klaauw at 3 o’clock, circled with the words “Only Watch Piece Unique”. The tourbillon ring shows this collaboration with all the letters: “Frederique Constant X Christiaan van der Klaauw”. In the lower part we discover a miniature artistic engraving, made by hand where the Sun occupies the center of the composition and, therefore, of the oscillating weight. Around him, shooting stars and wandering planets.
