In total it has been presented in 4 colors and the blue model with red and blue bezel (Pepsi) is the one that we have been able to get to know better and, of course, photograph. A watch that I really wanted to see and the truth is that it has not disappointed me.
«Oceanographer “Devil Diver”, an icon that celebrates the history of diving. This famous automatic watch dedicated to deep diving was introduced in 1972. The original model is an automatic diving watch, equipped with a rotating bezel with red and black details. The watch earned the nickname “Devil Diver” when Bulova listed the water resistance value in US units of “666 feet” instead of the traditional 200 meters on the dial of the original 1970s model.
The Oceanographer diving watch, thanks to a large number of enthusiasts, has earned the famous nickname “Devil Diver”. Legend has it that, in the spirit of innovation typical of the brand, Bulova broke the Swiss tradition of indicating on the dial in meters the depth that the watch could withstand underwater, indicating it instead, on the original dial, in feet, that is, in the ‘American unit of measurement: “666 feet”.

This new house clock Bulova It has a vintage style reminiscent of other dive watches from the 70s, which is normal given that it is based on their popular Devil Diver from that year. That style is enhanced in these three new models thanks to the design and polished finishes of their case. I’m not a fan of polished boxes for fear of scratches but it looks really good. In the hand, the quality of the watch’s finish is surprising, it is beautiful and the size is surprising since it seems smaller than the measurements indicate, good for those of us who have a moderate wrist.
The dial is continuous, fortunately, with the style of the Devil Diver and the characteristic cylindrical applied indices are still present. The legibility is good and although I don’t like the “magnifying glasses”, in the date indication, it is well integrated.
The readability it has in low light situations is something to highlight, really good. I liked how that lumen behaves.
About the case, it is made of steel and has a size of 41 mm in diameter and 14.6 mm thick. The distance between handles is 20 mm. The crystal is sapphire and its case back is steel with a simple finish. The bezel is bidirectional rotating. Water resistance is up to 666 feet, 20 bar or 200 meters.
The caliber inside is the Miyota 9075. Self-winding mechanical movement that works at 4 Hz. It has an approximate power reserve of 42 hours.
On the wrist, as we have anticipated, I liked it. I knew they were 41 mm in diameter but on the wrist it fits reasonably even on not very large wrists. The bracelet adapts very well to the wrist due to its design.
