As a reminder, the concept of GWD was born in 2020 in the spirit of offering houses of different sizes – whether historic or more recent – a platform to launch their new products for the start of the school year.
For the media and retailers, this is an opportunity to take the temperature of the watch industry in the second half of 2023. With beautiful sunny days in a Geneva that is experiencing its last summer heat… And for the general public, it is a chance to dive into the world of beautiful mechanics.
Over time, the “Geneva Watch Days” have forged a solid reputation: an informal event that takes place in a festive and good-natured atmosphere. And then, let’s remember that this show was the very first to reconnect with a major post-covid watchmaking event!
The official inauguration under the aegis of the city and canton of Geneva will initiate the festivities on August 29, then the pavilion will be open to the public every day from Wednesday August 30 until Saturday September 2 inclusive.
Thus, everyone will be able to discover through about fifty showcases and by theme the latest creations of the participating brands. And for those who wish to benefit from the eyes of an expert, guided tours will be offered each afternoon. They will leave the Pavilion and tour the showrooms of the various Houses. Saturday, September 2 will be entirely dedicated to the general public, with free entry and activities celebrating watchmaking culture.
Simply curious, media, retailers or collectors, note this meeting in your diary. Registrations will be open from June 5th.
