Rolex’s Latest Addition: The New City Watch

The bezel is divided into a lower part sporting grooves and a domed upper part. In practically scratch-proof sapphire crystal, the domed crystal and the transparent back benefit from an anti-reflective treatment. Guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 50 meters, the case optimally protects the movement it houses.

White or black depending on the version, the dial features Arabic numerals 3, 9 and 12 and faceted indexes. It features a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, with the words “Superlative Chronometer” inscribed above in an arc.

As for the hands: the hour hand is of the Breguet or Hollow Apple type and the minute hand is in the shape of a sword. A rare combination, even, probably unique in the watch industry.
