A tribute to the beginnings and “Friends”
Looking back on two decades of groundbreaking design and successful collaborations, Maximilian Büsser, founder of MB&F, says: “It’s like a dream come true, except I’ve never dreamed this big.” » These new watches also celebrate the essential contribution of Stephen McDonnellan independent watchmaker, who designed the complex calibers powering these two pieces.
The “Longhorn” watches, inspired by the elongated horns envisaged for the Legacy Machine 1 in 2009, combine stainless steel housingsglossy black lacquered dials and blued hands. A sophisticated and daring aesthetic, perfectly in line with MB&F’s visual identity.
LM Perpetual Longhorn: a reinvented perpetual calendar
Initially launched in 2015, the LM Perpetual stands out for its innovative perpetual calendar, designed to eliminate the flaws of traditional mechanisms. With a fully integrated movement of 581 componentsthis timepiece offers exceptional precision thanks to its “mechanical processor”, an innovation that replaces bulky traditional systems.
Equipped with a power reserve of 72 hoursthis hand-wound watch features breathtaking finishes: Geneva coastpolished re-entrant angles and artisanal engravings. The housing of 44mm houses a dial where we discover the indications of hours, minutes, day, date, month, leap year and power reserve. A mechanical work of art that celebrates watchmaking excellence.
LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn: a revolutionary chronograph
There LM Sequential Flybackunveiled in 2022, pushes the limits of the traditional chronograph. Thanks to its “Twinverter” system, it offers unique timing modes: independent, simultaneous, cumulative, sequential and flyback. This revolutionary caliber, designed by Stephen McDonnell, earned MB&F theGolden Needle of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix in 2022.
