H. Moser & Cie presents a new animated version of their sleek perpetual calendar model

In 2005, H. Moser & Co.the very beautiful house in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen, revealed a perpetual calendar (“QP”) very readable and easy to set that could be adjusted at any time of the day, whether forward or backward.

10 years later, in 2015, the brand marked a revival with the watch Endeavor Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue. She then embraced her new codes with a real renewal. We remember the arrival of these magnificent smoked dials.

Today, H. Moser & Cie launches an evolution of its QP Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue watch (Reference 1800-0205) with a 42 mm case with the brand logo inscribed in transparent lacquer.

To celebrate this release and to thumb one’s nose at the simplicity of the watch despite the mechanical prowess represented by the watch movement, some units will be available with a “cheat” dial which displays the technical characteristics of the watch.

A clean QP dial

On the dial, no sub-dial, no illegible date disc that requires a microscope to read.

The indexes indicate the hours but also the months (the central mini hand).

The date window is at 3 o’clock and features a “flash calendar” that changes the date at midnight.

At 9 o’clock, a small hand indicates the power reserve (7 days) in a very discreet manner.

Setting the perpetual calendar

The date and time are set via the screw-down crown, regardless of the time of day, which is quite a feat.

QP owners know that accidentally letting a QP reach the end of its power reserve will result in a trip to the watchmaker to reset your watch, for fear of damaging the movement by doing something wrong.

For fun, despite its simplicity, “bad students” can treat themselves to the “for dummies” version with the dial featuring amusing annotations.
