A little less than a year ago, G-Shock unveiled an all-metal version of its 2100 series, nicknamed Casioak and having met with worldwide success. That evolution “Full Metal” named GM-B2100 was available in three colors: Silver, Black and Rose Gold. Now place at a Gold versiona release eagerly awaited by fans of the Japanese brand.
It was by far G-Shock’s most notable release of 2022, one of the reasons we reviewed it (see our review of the GM-B2100 Full Metal). The reference that interests us today, named GM-B2100GD-9Abeen plated with a golden layer by ionization on all of its exterior elements, with the exception of the caseback which is treated with black DLC. The watch retains all its appeal in terms of its size with a width of 44.4mm for a thickness of 12.8mm, very contained dimensions for G-Shock. We also appreciate the finishes alternating between brushing and polishing, particularly at the case middle.
This watch is powered by the ToughSolar functionalityusing natural and artificial light as its energy source, and connects to your phone via Bluetooth thanks to its mobile-link technology in particular to adjust the time according to your position or to find your phone. Basic but useful functions that do not eat up the battery because this GM-B2100GD-9A offers a 7 month battery life (or 18 months in total darkness). This watch will be available in April at price of 599€.
