We no longer stop Yvan Arpa! Its Independent watchmaker Artya Unveils its very first micro -rotor caliber, the AMR – 02, during the launch of new references in its collection Luminity (Formerly called “Gears”). A technical and compact movement, dressed in an organic design that anchors artya a little more in the demanding landscape of contemporary high watchmaking.
AMR – 02: an exclusive caliber that combines finesse and power
With only 3.6 mm thick, the AMR – 02 caliber is an automatic double barrel micro -rooter. It offers a 82 -hour power reserveobtained thanks to two long springs working in parallel. The set provides a torque of 730 gr. – a high figure for this format – and benefits from a tungsten rotor, dense and efficient, to optimize the returned energy.
Completely developed by Artya and produced between Geneva and Jura, this movement will be the engine of other upcoming watches. Above all, he signs a clear will of the brand: mastering his creations at all levels since Angya already has several manufacturing movements.
The Wavy case in two strong expressions
The new AMR – 02 references are dressed in the signature box Wavy 40 mm, with dynamic curves inspired by the movement of the waves. Two choices of materials are offered, each providing a different reading of the room:
Grade 5 titanium with DLC finish
- Full sanding for a mat, sober and technical rendering.
- Transparent or black DLC treatment for hardness up to 1200 HV (or even 1800 HV for black DLC).
- Polished hand to create a subtle and refined contrast, rare on titanium.
Sapphire glass
- Exceptional stripes (1800 HV), maximum transparency.
- Complex manual polishing, suitable for the sculptural shape of the case.
- Light games reinforced by internal undulating lines.
Disrans between watchmaking transparency and artistic expression
To support this new caliber, Artya offers two types of dials:
Full sapphire or nanosaphir Chameleon
Total transparency on movement, brushed indexes and diamonds, assumed minimalism. This choice aims to enhance mechanical work without sacrificing readability. The Nanosaphir Chameleon, this material that changes color depending on the light, is a bit like the “paw” of Artya.
Natural stone: Aventurine or meteorite
A more artistic, more expressive approach too. The dial is adorned with a single mineral center, while maintaining a sufficient opening to observe the details of the movement. A successful synthesis between decorative art and technical watchmaking.
