Why this deal is worth it now

We are clearly looking at a watch designed for serious sport, but at a still affordable price. Announced battery life of 17 days in daily use, up to 38 hours of continuous GPS, all in 30 g on the wrist with the nylon strap. Not a tank on his arm.

The real difference compared to “basic” watches of the same price is the dual frequency GPS and navigation. In town with buildings, in the forest, on a somewhat challenging trail, the Pace 3 kept clean tracks where other models drifted. So, if you often run in an urban environment or in the undergrowth, it really changes things.

Who does it speak to most? For regular runners (road or trail), amateur triathletes, cyclists who want to follow a clean route without taking out the phone every 5 minutes, and everyone who was fed up with too limited “fitness” bracelets. If you mainly do cardio in the gym and a little walking, that’s okay too, but it would almost be underused.

And at this price, not at least taking a close look at what it offers is a bit of a mistake. Were you waiting for an excuse to change your watch or move on to something more serious than your first smartwatch? There it is.

What the COROS Pace 3 offers on a daily basis

On the wrist, the Pace 3 remains very discreet: thin case (11.7 mm), only 30 g with the nylon strap, we clearly forgot it during the day or at night. You can keep it on 24 hours without feeling like you’re carrying a stone. The look is sporty, sober, not flashy, so it goes well with city clothes or trail shorts.

The 1.2″ transflective screen remains readable in direct sunlight, especially when running or cycling. It’s not an ultra flashy AMOLED, but for sport, seeing your stats instantly without straining your eyes, that’s what counts. And the screen always stays on, without killing the battery.

On the health side, you find the classics:

  • Heart rate continuously
  • Sleep tracking with phase analysis
  • Stress tracking (if you activate the option, at the cost of a few hours of battery life)
  • General training load monitoring via the COROS ecosystem

In sport, this is where it is really credible:

  • Profiles running, trail running, cycling, swimming (swimming pool and open water), bodybuilding, skiing, snowboarding, etc.
  • Accurate GPS with dual frequency mode for complicated environments.
  • Barometric altimeter for unevenness, useful on trails and by bike.
  • Route planning and breadcrumb navigation to follow a route without worrying.

Basically, you can prepare your route in the COROS app, send it to the watch, and go running or riding. Navigation keeps you on track without having to take out your smartphone every ten minutes. No need for more, honestly.

In terms of autonomy, we are far from watches that need to be charged every two days. 17 days of “normal” use (notifications, a few sessions, sleep) if you don’t push all the sensors to the limit, it’s realistic. And around 38 hours in continuous GPS, which is more than enough for marathons, “reasonable” ultra-trails or a busy cycling weekend.

In terms of connected features, we stick to the essentials: phone notifications, basic control, sync with the app, but it’s not a “smartphone on the wrist” watch like an Apple Watch. Like it or not. If you’re looking for a watch primarily made for sports, that’s great, this is exactly it.

In short: if you want a performance-oriented, lightweight watch with real sports tracking and serious GPS, the COROS Pace 3 ticks almost all the boxes at this price. It’s not a gimmick.

The promotion will not last forever, and Amazon often changes its prices without warning. If you were already hesitant about this model, now is clearly the right time to take it at €229.00 rather than waiting to see it go back up to its full price.
