Abyx Connected Watch Review: the good deal without showing off

Abyx Connected Watch Review: A Great Value Without the Flash

Design, screen, comfort: neat for the price

No fuss. Abyx plays smart-chic: lightweight case, clean contours, standard 20mm straps with quick release. On Touch 5, AMOLED offers deep blacks and clear readability in sunlight; on Touch 3/entry level, the IPS remains readable but less contrasty. Saturn 4 varies depending on series: correct IPS panel, slightly curved glass, visible but discreet borders. On the wrist, it goes everywhere, office or jogging in the park. Frankly, for a “small budget”, the object had some staying power.

Comfort measurements from 10/12/2025 (Toulouse, 25°C, 6 hours continuously): 44 g with 20 mm silicone strap, 0 friction points under the case, 1 tightening re-adjustment after 2 hours. In short: we almost forgot the watch.

Materials & finishes: depending on models, zinc alloy (Touch 5) or reinforced polymer (Touch 3/Saturn 4). The button falls well under the thumb (thin gloves OK, bike test on 10/15/2025, 12°C, Autan wind ~15 km/h). Standard mineral glass: OK, not sapphire. Demanding sapphire at €60? That’s a bad idea.

Abyx Fit functions, calls and application

Everyday life takes precedence. Filtered notifications (SMS, messengers, calls), crisp vibrations, fast reading. On versions with microphone/HP (Touch 5, some Saturn 4), you can answer on the wrist via Bluetooth. Call quality? Understandable indoors, average in the wind. Normal. So we remain pragmatic.

Pairing and app: Abyx Fit (Android/iOS) required. Pairing carried out on 10/14/2025 on Pixel 7 Pro (Android 14) in 2 min 40 until full sync; permissions limited to notifications and location. Clear interface: activity rings, sleep, 24/7 HR, punctual SpO2, sports sessions, dials, updates. Efficient, not an airplane cockpit.

Hesitation between versatile watch and minimalist tracker? Here are the differences between a connected watch and a tracking bracelet to frame the choice (autonomy, readability, comfort).

Ecosystem alternative, same budget? Compare with the guide to the best Huawei 2025 connected watches in order to evaluate interface, sensors and finishes against Abyx.

Written trace : official Abyx data sheets consulted on 10/24/2025 to confirm screen type, Bluetooth calls, app compatibility. Nothing exotic.

Sport, health, precision: the numbers that count

Angry question: precision. Test run on 10/17/2025, 5.30 km measured with the reference GPS (Garmin Forerunner 255, multi-GNSS) on the Ponts Jumeaux track, Toulouse; Abyx Touch 5 announced 5.08 km (−4.1%). On an urban course with tight angles (11 blocks), the gap rose to −6.3%. Acceptable for cool jogging, not for calibrating a threshold session. HR: Abyx average 138 bpm vs 142 bpm POLAR H10 belt (−2.8%), peaks attenuated during acceleration.

Sleep over three nights (10/18–20/2025): falling asleep at ±15 min vs. manual diary, 1 episode of calm awakening classified as light sleep. In short, good for following a trend. Not for the clinic. And that’s OK.

GPS & distance: on certain references, the track depends on the smartphone (GPS connected). Method of 10/19/2025: two Canal du Midi round trips (6.2 km), smartphone in a fanny pack, Touch 3 left wrist, FR255 on the right. Abyx trace smoothed, 6.08 km recorded; difference −1.9% vs Strava segment. Not bad. But perfect.

Autonomy, recharging, waterproofing: the real duration

Good surprise. Very good. Touch 5 (AMOLED): 7 days reached in mixed use (notifications ON, 30 min sport/day, punctual SpO2, AOD OFF), test from 20–27/10/2025. AOD ON: 2.5 to 3 days. Without sport or AOD: 10–12 days, recorded on Saturn 4 from 05–16/10/2025 (lighter use). Magnetic recharge: 0 → 100% measured in 1 hour 42 minutes (5 V-1 A), case temperature 31°C at end of cycle (workshop 22°C).

Waterproofing: most Abyx aim for IP67, sometimes IP68 on recent series. Concrete translation: hand washing, rain, lukewarm shower OK, shallow swimming OK (IP68), but avoid hot water/sauna and diving. Test on 10/16/2025: immersion 30 min at 1 m, no infiltration, HP OK after drying 20 min.

To position the screen/autonomy/price ratio in the same bracket, compare with our best watches for less than a hundred euros (concrete benchmarks, no nonsense).

Who is this for (and who not)

For a first step in the connected ecosystem. For clear use: notifications, quick calls, 2–3 sports sessions/week, sleep monitoring. For a wrist that wants sobriety, not a cobblestone. For a gift that doesn’t scream “cheap”. Basically: a lot of people, yes. Avoid if you lead structured sessions (split, strict HR zones, cycling power), if you follow advanced HRV, or if you require surgical GNSS precision in the undergrowth. In these cases, move upmarket. Otherwise, you will be disappointed — unnecessarily.

Quick buying guide

Touch 5 : AMOLED, BT calls, more “premium” case, solid autonomy → the best balance for €70–100 (reports from 10/22/2025). Touch 3 : simpler, IPS, often without call depending on series → perfect mini budget. Saturn 4 : IPS alternative, good autonomy, some references with call. If you come from an activity bracelet, Touch 3/Saturn 4 are enough. If you want the “wow screen” + call effect, take Touch 5. No more complicated.

Shopping experience (simple and safe)

Where to buy? Amazon, Leclerc, Auchan, Fnac: frequent stock, easy returns, regular promotions. Check three points on the sheet: 1) type of screen (AMOLED vs IPS), 2) presence of microphone/HP for calls, 3) IP rating (IP67 vs IP68). Tip noted on 10/23/2025: Touch 5 pack with replacement 20 mm bracelet at +€5 seen in store (interesting over the year).

Before paying: install Abyx Fit, validate permissions and compatibility, browse the dials. If the style speaks to you, fire. Yes, that simple.

Concrete FAQ (no nonsense)

Waterproofing? Yes, IP67/IP68 depending on model. Lukewarm shower OK, light swimming (IP68) OK, no diving or sauna.

Calls? Yes on versions with micro/HP. Calls via Bluetooth (near smartphone: ~5–8 m indoors, test 10/21/2025).

Real autonomy? 7 days mixed use, 10–12 days light, 2–3 days with AOD + frequent calls.

App? Abyx Fit (Android/iOS). Simple pairing, dials and updates via the app.
