Anomaly T4: a great success for this fourth edition!

Check out our full review of the Anomaly T4: the 4th edition of Code41’s most popular model.

History of the Anomaly by Code41

When Claudio d’Amore launched the Anomaly-01 in 2016, he certainly did not expect to be at the head of a watchmaking company making millions in turnover a few years later. The Anomaly immediately seduced the crowds with its new design and its communication that dusted off the codes of Swiss watchmaking. Each edition has sold extremely well, with the latest achieving over a million pre-order sales! Over the years, the Anomaly has moved upmarket by acquiring Swiss movements (on the Anomaly 02 and the Anomaly Evolution) and an ever-improving design.

The new Anomaly T4 watch from Code41: our opinion

In recent years, Code41 had launched interesting but very “luxury” models (about 5000€ for the X41) and we were eager to discover a more accessible model: this is the case with the Anomaly T4. With this new edition, the watch has gained in transparency with a beautiful vision on different parts of the movement and retains its technical and sporty design which made the success of previous generations. With its LumiNova indexes, its reinforced crown and a nice thickness (11.2mm), it is a pleasure to wear this new model.

Anomaly T4: a Swiss movement and quality materials

As on all the brand’s latest models, it is a swiss movementhere the Sellita SW200-1 S a, which is on board than the Anomaly T4. High quality 26 jewel movement with good precision of -7/+7s per day and very robust over time. Robustness also comes from the Incabloc shock absorbers integrated into the movement.

In addition to a Swiss movement, the case is in recycled 316L steel designed by the Swiss company Panatere. The steel of the ANOMALY-T4 comes from steel shavings exclusively used in the Swiss medical and watchmaking sectors, fields that are extremely demanding and rigorous on the raw material used in equipment and components. Traceability and sorting of the steel are ensured through the use of a spectrometric gun, which guarantees its perfect quality.

On both sides of the Anomaly T4, the crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire for maximum transparency and avoid reflections.

Performances

In terms of performance, the Anomaly T4 is designed to offer exceptional precision and reliability. The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 S a movement is renowned for its robustness and precision, ensuring that owners of the Anomaly T4 can rely on their watch for years to come. The 38-hour power reserve also ensures that the watch will continue to function even if it is not worn for a short period of time.

The water resistance of the Anomaly T4 is also impressive, with resistance up to 100 metres (10 ATM). This means that the watch can be worn during water activities such as swimming and snorkelling, offering owners added versatility. It should be noted, however, that the watch is not designed for scuba diving with equipment, and users should take care not to expose it to extreme depths.

The Anomaly T4 is also designed to withstand the rigours of everyday life. Incabloc shock absorbers built into the movement protect the watch from shocks, while the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on both sides ensures maximum transparency and avoids reflections. These features ensure that the Anomaly T4 can withstand normal wear and tear and retain its elegant appearance and functionality for many years.

Look and feel

In addition to its impressive technical features, the Anomaly T4 is also a fashion statement in its own right. Its bold and sporty design stands out from other watches on the market, attracting attention and sparking conversations. Watch enthusiasts will undoubtedly appreciate the transparency offered by the skeletonised movement, which allows the different parts of the movement to be seen in action.
