Discover all the new products presented by the brand that is nicknamed the “little crown”: you sleep. Indeed, Tudor is the sister brand of Rolex. I’ve always been a big fan of this brand’s design and especially the value for money which is quite incredible. So now let’s discover together the Tudor novelties 2023.
Tudor, which is none other than the brand specialising in sporty and affordable luxury watches, has just unveiled a nice selection of its iconic watch Tudor Black Bay. But that’s not all, since the brand has also released new models of Tudor Royal.
We take stock together and spoiler alert, there are really nuggets in these Tudor novelties 2023.
The 2023 Tudor Black Bay: Red Bezel
Since its introduction in 2012, the Black Bay has become the modern standard of the Tudor brand. This year, the Black Bay sports a beautiful red/burgundy-colored bezel that directly echoes to 2012 model which was also equipped with a bezel of this color.
This new Tudor Black Bay comes to life in a 41mm diameter case. The unidirectional stainless steel bezel has a burgundy aluminum insert that is graduated over 60 minutes. We obviously find the triangle-shaped indicator and the SuperLuminova ball at 12 o’clock. On the mechanical side, the iconic screw-down crown with the rose YOU SLEEP in relief will allow you to wind up the caliber automatic MT5602-U.
This movement benefits from the certification COSC chronometer which all the calibers of the Swiss watchmaker carry, but also the certificate “Master Chronometer” from METAS which is none other than the Swiss Institute of Metrology. METAS Certification is obtained after a battery of tests which measure the precision of the movement but also the resistance to magnetic fields but not only.
The MT5602-U movement with a bi-directional rotor offers a generous 70 hour power reserve. This new Tudor Black Bay 2023 is available with a rubber strap, another in 3-link steel or with a 5-link steel strap which gives the watch a dressier style. The bracelets are equipped with the quick and precise adjustment system “T-Fit”.

Another Tudor Novelties 2023: Tudor Black Bay 54
My favorite release this year from Tudor is the Tudor Black Bay 54. This newcomer to the Black Bay collection pays direct homage to the brand’s very first diver’s watch, the 1954 Tudor Oyster Prince reference 7922.
Presented in a box stainless steel 37 mm in diameter and 11.24 mm thick, this new watch remains more than faithful to the DNA of the 1954 model. There is a unidirectional black bezel with an aluminum insert. On this Tudor novelties 2023 model, no red triangle at 12 o’clock, but a more sober indicator, as on the vintage version. The subtly domed black dial features a brushed sunburst finish. We find the emblematic hands “Snowflake” which I’m a big fan of. For the rest, the hours are indicated via gilded applied indexes covered with Super-LumiNova.
The waterproof case to 200 meters of this news Tudor Black Bay 54 is equipped with the automatic caliber MT5400. This manufacture movement COSC chronometer certified offers a power reserve of 70 hours. This little beauty with vintage dimensions is available on a rubber strap or a riveted steel strap.

The Tudor Black Bay 31/36/39/41 2023 edition
In order not to do only in the sporty style, Tudor also unveiled new models Tudor Black Bay with a smooth bezel. Dressy and elegant watches for men and women. Available in four different case sizes: 31mm, 36mm, 39mm and 41mmthis new Black Bay is dressed a satin-brushed and polished stainless steel case. Regarding the dials, three new colors: blue, anthracite gray and a champagne dial.
Regarding the calibers, the Tudor Black Bay all have COSC-certified movements and are fitted with silicon hairsprings. anti-magnetic. The caliber is different depending on the diameter of the watch.

The Tudor Black Bay GMT 2023
If there’s one complication I’m a fan! One fo the Tudor novelties 2023 watches, which remains affordable in some watch brands, it’s the GMT. What could be better than having the possibility of reading the time of two different time zones at the same time.
This year Tudor Black Bay GMT features a beautiful opal white domed dial with an electroplated finish that gives the dial a very slightly silvery texture. For the rest, this news Black Bay GMT stays true to the range and has all the characteristics of a Black Bay. A 41mm stainless steel case in diameter, an ultra-resistant domed sapphire crystal and of course on this model, a bidirectional rotating bezel with 48 notches. This steel bezel has an anodised matte burgundy and blue aluminum insert which is graduated over 24 hours.
Snowflake hands are also present on this model and a red GMT hand perfects the legibility on this white dial. Regarding the movement, it is the manufacture caliber Tudor MT5652 who drives this Black Bay GMT 2023. This movement has a silicon hairspring and a 70-hour power reserve, so you won’t have to wind your watch for several days even if you’re not wearing it. Caliber MT5652 is also certified COSCa standard at Tudor these days.
This new GMT is available in a steel version with an opaline dial, but also in a steel and gold version, in warm colors and with a very vintage look, which I like very much. It offers a highly functional complication: a multiple time zone function, also known as the GMT function. Recognisable by its rotating bezel, which has inherited its deep blue and burgundy colors from the other models in the Black Bay collection, but in a matte version, the Black Bay GMT is also a nod to the beginnings of this watchmaking function.

The Tudor Royal 2023 edition
To end on this presentation of the Tudor 2023 novelties, let’s talk about an interesting model, with the air of Rolex Day-Date and of datejust but with a much more attractive price. In total, Tudor has just unveiled 13 new models of its Tudor Royal watch.
Two new dials with a finish sunray brushed appear this year. The Royal Tudor is available with a Salmon-colored dial and another in Chocolate shades. This little news comes in 4 different case sizes: 28mm, 34mm, 38mm and 41mm.
This news Tudor Royal all have an integrated 5-link bracelet which gives them a very chic and sporty look at the same time. Regarding the movement, the watches are all powered by a self-winding caliber:
- The T201 movement for the 28mm version, with 38 hours of power reserve.
- The T601 movement for the 34mm version, which offers 38 hours of power reserve.
- The T601 movement also for the 38mm version.
- The T603 movement for the 41mm version, which offers 38 hours of power reserve.
Versions with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indexes are also appearing in these new models for 2023.
