4 new compact (34 mm) and neo-retro watches

March 10, 2023: mark this date in your diary. It is precisely on this day that the Kurono Tokyo brand, created by the Japanese Hajime Asaoka, considered one of the most recognized and talented watchmakers of our time, will market on its website four new compact watches, with a case 34 mm in diameter, with a neo-retro design. The continuation of the Art Deco models launched a year earlier in a way…

More accessible watches

In parallel with the development of automatic watches with a very unique design with 37 mm diameter cases, as we were talking about last year, Kurono-Tokyo therefore offers more compact watches again this year, with a case of only 34 mm in diameter.

More specifically, four Kurono watches will be put on the market at the end of March: Darkmist, Smoke, Midnight and Persimmon, each model having a particular two-tone dial.

Technically, these watches have a steel case, are water resistant to only 5 bar, have luminescent index markers and hands, and three blue hands. The Kurono fortunately remain very thin, with only 9.6 mm thick, and a lug to lug of 41 mm.

An automatic movement, 40 hours of power reserve

Delivered with a leather strap (18 mm between the lugs), they are finally powered by a Miyota 90s5 caliber (24 jewels) giving them a power reserve of 40 hours.

Note that these four Kurono watches will be marketed from March 10 on the brand’s website, in a limited edition of 150 pieces per dial, at a price of approximately $1,100, taxes not included. The watches will be assembled at the end of March, and delivered a few weeks later.
